Yes. However, the cost is per head.

1. Startmate’s Accelerator invests $120K into ~30 companies annually. By being part of Buildmate, Startmate will have front row seats to your unbelievable progress. This is a huge advantage in the Accelerator application process.‍
2. We’ll look favourably at founders who pitch in the Startmate pre-accelerator pitch night to deploy Startmate’s Small Bets Fund with $25K cheque. You can also apply to SBF separately.

You will have access to peer learning. However, the purpose of this initiative is not to give you tactical upskilling.

Our goal is to find the most ambitious early-stage founders in ANZ. Generally, our early-stage founders usually meet at least one of the following criteria:

• Have a problem they want to solve
• Started building an MVP or proof of concept
• Have built an MVP or proof of concept
• Have paying customers
• Are pre-Series A

Starting a startup can be a daunting and lonely experience. Buildmate is designed to provide founders with the support of high-performing founders and an inspiring place to work to help make their journey a little bit easier.

Given the limited cohort size and emphasis on commitment, we want participants who are ready to commit to their startup growth and are present to support their fellow founders.

For this reason, for our required co-working day attendance is mandatory. Participants who miss more than one required day in the 3 month intake will be withdrawn. ‍

Note: For specific circumstances where this is not possible, you will just need to let the Startmate team know.

It is in-person only in Melbourne & Sydney for now.

That is totally fine, but you will need to select our after-hours option. Co-working on Wednesday evenings will be central to the value of this initiative.

You’ll need to be available in the space between 5:30pm - 9pm.

You do not need to be full-time on your startup. However, you do need to be available to attend the co-working on our required check in days.

This will be on Wednesdays either during the day or in the evening depending on which membership you select.

You’ll need to be available to attend the coworking on our required working day (Wednesdays) during work hours or after hours if working part-time on your startup. Every week for the 3 month period.

Majority of this time will be dedicated to you working on your startup with the exception of ~1hr/week.

That’s correct, it is only in Melbourne & Sydney for now. The in-person element is very important for Buildmate, but we will be looking to expand to other cities shortly.
