The program is designed for aspiring or early-stage founders who have identified a problem they want to solve, but have yet to start a company.

The application is comprised of 3 short answer questions (250 words each) and and an optional video component (1 minute). Selection is highly competitive, and we'll be assessing applicants on their ambition, motivation, and passion for joining our community.‍

Short Answer Questions [Max 250 words each]

• Why are you hungry to be a founder — in general, and in particular, right now?
• What is one thing you believe that not many others do?
• Tell us about something you have done in the past that you are particularly proud of.

Short Video/Written Question [Max 1 minute or 250 words]

• Tell us your personal elevator pitch.
• You’re stuck in an elevator with Michael Batko, CEO at Startmate. You’ve got 1-minute words to tell him about yourself. Go.

The program is mostly virtual. All of the content is delivered in a virtual format (and will be recorded if you can’t attend live). However, we will also be hosting a few in-person events in the major capital cities as we find this helps facilitate stronger connections.

Starting a startup can be a daunting and lonely experience. Launch Club is designed to provide aspiring founders with the support, guidance, and resources they need to launch their startup successfully, and be able to do this at the same time as others at the same stage.

No, you do not need to be full time on your startup.

However, based on previous cohorts, we do recommend that you are in a position to want to start something now and commit the time to validating your idea. You will get much more out of the program.

The cost of the program is $1100 (incl. GST). We want you to have skin in the game and know that everyone else in the cohort is just as committed as you are.

Launch Club will run for 8 weeks, with sessions running on Monday and Tuesday evenings so that it can be completed outside of work hours.

On top of this, you’ll need to find time to work on your startup idea.

Those who are serious about starting something NOW tend to get the most value out of the program.
