So how does it work? Landid, one of the 16 companies part of the Startmate Summer’25 Accelerator, enables fast and accurate capture of any property using just a video. Behind the scenes, AI 3D maps, measures and documents the property, giving tradies an accessible, digital record that can be revisited at any time. This streamlines project scoping, planning, and costing, empowering tradies to save on average two hours per quote.

Founder and CEO of Landid, Alex Hutchison, recognised the pain points faced by tradespeople on the ground. After years of working closely with tradies in the home renovation space, he saw firsthand how inefficient and error-prone manual processes were for tradies and how much of a time-waster they became day-to-day. 

This insight led to the creation of Landid, which has now transitioned from a service business to a pure-play SaaS company.

As one of the 16 companies part of the Summer’25 Accelerator, Landid launched its first product less than six weeks ago, and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. The platform has the potential to transform the building industry, making it more efficient and enabling professionals to do more with less.

In the coming months, Landid plans to expand its reach by making its technology available across more devices, while further streamlining the user experience. The long-term vision is to power spatial commerce, integrating the Landid core technology into third-party web and mobile experiences to enhance property-related workflows, from buying materials to project planning.

As the company grows, Landid is eager to connect with those in the broader property ecosystem, from tradies and interior designers, to trade marketplaces, platforms and suppliers. The app is available now on the App Store in Australia and New Zealand, with plans to expand to other markets soon.

For Landid this is just the beginning.
